Where Can I Buy A Duckbill Platypus

Molière - The Rule of Four (Ian Caldwell & Dustin Thomason)

Genre: Thriller

Synopsis and Review This book was written by two American authors, Caldwel Ian and Dustin Thomason . Both have a different profession from that of the writer, the first, in fact, is a historian, according to a doctor. Although young, their life experiences and work, plus a strong friendship, have been pushing to create a novel that contains mystery, old books, codes to decipher, memories of the time at university.

The story is located in Princeton, New Jersey . In
renowned campus of the town, many students find themselves with the task of having to prepare the thesis. Time is running out and everyone is trying to exploit so excited that the days remain to the presentation of their sweaty work. Among these there are Tom Sullivan and Paul Harris, together we are dealing with a thorny decoding. There are now more than three years that Paul devotes much of his time at'' Hypnerotomachia Poliphili, a publication old, from the cryptic contents. Tom found himself involved in this project, at first only to help his friend, then, driven by curiosity and passion growing. Yet it is aware that many scholars have tried to deal with them all and, inevitably, had to surrender "all'insondabilità" of its codes.
His father spent much of his life between the pages of ' Hypnerotomachia Poliphili without being able to extrapolate the hidden secrets. He will give him the honors and success, because he feels it, the victory is getting closer!
Things are less simple than it seems. In the student residence in Princeton, everything seems to go as usual, the end of the academic year is now looming, raids and parties one after another.
Tom and Paul are increasingly obsessed with riddles and cryptic mathematical codes hidden between the lines of the manuscript of the Renaissance. Soon, something strange starts to happen, a chain of suspicious deaths seem to be linked the book and the two friends did not put us long to realize that their life is in danger ...

- The authors have taken inspiration from a literary work of the fifteenth century, to weave a story from the mysterious outline. It 's interesting to know that the cryptic Hypnerotomachia Poliphili mentioned in the book really exists. For sure we know that was published in 1499 in Venice , the author should be Francesco Colonna, a Dominican friar educated and enterprising. The translated title, it sounds like Dream Of Fighting Love Poliphilo . The particularity of this ancient text, precious, unique and cared for typefaces, it is especially quella di contenere una ricca serie di xilografie di grande valore artistico.
Tra le altre cose, sono rimasta colpita dall'ossessione malsana e totalizzante esercitata from the ancient text on the various protagonists and who has persistently tried to probe the contents of those indecipherable codes too, almost schizophrenic, developed in the distant past, to the point that risk destroying the present. I found myself wondering, but it was really worth it?

Council reading, but without expecting the thrilling thriller.
